We have often talked about the dangers of investing via property investment companies without checking them out thoroughly first. Far too many people are jumping on the property investment band wagon without an idea of how much you want to make – and knowing how realistic you are being. Many companies are selling investments based on ‘no money down deals’ or ‘little money down’; ‘buying properties for a £1’ and other offers, which in the main remain ridiculous and just a good way to get you to spend your hard earned cash with so called ‘property experts’.

If you are unsure as to whether it’s worth spending time and money investigating a property investment company and checking what they say with independent professionals, including financial, legal and lettings specialists, then read this article by Graham Norwood about Passive Investments recently printed in the Observer.

If you are thinking of investing via property investment companies, you must understand that these companies are NOT regulated in any way, shape or form, and as you will see from the above article people have lost thousands if not tens of thousands of pounds of their hard earned cash, working with so called 'property gurus'.

As Richard Davies from Platinum Property Partners, one of the most successful property investment companies, says "To be a true property investor you have to play the long game. Property is not a get rich scheme - it's a get very rich, very steadily scheme."

Before you hand over your money to ANY property investment company, read the articles below and if you want to, you can send a property investment deal to enquiries@designsonproperty.co.uk and we will take an independent look at it for you.

Stop, Look and Listen before you go for ‘no money’ down deals!
